Does anyone know the number of casualties caused by the machine gun in WWI? I've been trying to search for stats like this on the net, but i have not been very successful yet.

Any help would be great thanks!

That is a huge ask, I'm not sure if anyone knows... In your textbook there should be lists of estimated casualties for each country. But I'm not sure they go into the specific ways in which they died. I do know that the leading killer was artillery, then machine guns were number two.
