Transitional Arrangements for Publications Pending New Image
Many of you have been involved in the consultation process for the One Voice One Image project, the objective of which is to define how we talk about the University, and develop a new image consistent with this voice.
Work on the 'image' part of the project is well underway, and our proposed new image is to be presented to Council on August 27. One Voice One Image will be launched at a Town Hall meeting on 30 September, with implementation of our new visual identity planned for January 2009.
Implementation of our new visual identity is deliberately being delayed until the new year to enable us to complete our student recruitment for the 2009 intake with our current visual identity. This will minimise waste and cost and allow for a consistent implementation for the new academic year in 2009. We do not plan to destroy any existing materials - all stocks must be used before we introduce our new visual identity.
In the meantime, materials produced to be used in 2008 should follow current guidelines, including use of the appropriate Divisional colours, keeping to minimal print amounts. If you are producing materials for Open Day in September, please keep stocks to the minimum you expect to use in 2008.
For materials you plan to produce for use from January 2009, please contact Lynn Elsey, Publications Manager (lynn.elsey@pru.mq.edu.au or ext 7377) to discuss their production in the new style. You can also contact Lynn with any questions regarding ongoing and new projects.
Stay tuned for more information about the launch of the new visual identity on 30 September.
If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Vozella, Director of Marketing, on ext 7378.
