Hi guys i have three questions in which i need help in - i am doing maths a uni and dislike logs

Question 1 is on an attactment <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shape id=_x0000_i1029 style="WIDTH: 105.75pt; HEIGHT: 15.75pt" type="#_x0000_t75" fillcolor="window" o:eek:le=""><v:imagedata o:title="" src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\COMPAQ~2\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\clip_image011.wmz"></v:imagedata></v:shape><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

Question 2 (7 marks)<o:p></o:p>
Fees at an institution are growing exponentially according to the model <v:shape id=_x0000_i1031 style="WIDTH: 48pt; HEIGHT: 18.75pt" type="#_x0000_t75" fillcolor="window" o:eek:le=""><v:imagedata o:title="" src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\COMPAQ~2\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\clip_image013.wmz"></v:imagedata></v:shape> where the cost C is in $ and the time t is in years while k is a constant. The cost in the year 2000 was $600 while the cost in 2004 was $1000. Taking the start of the initial time as January 1 in the year 2000 find:
i) The initial cost. (1 mark)
ii) The value of the constant k to 5 decimal places. (2 marks)
iii) The cost in 2009 to the nearest cent. (2 marks)
iv) The first year when the fees will be greater than$3000. (2 marks)
<o:p> </o:p>
Question 3
A flea leaps from a dog’s nose onto a trampoline where it stays. Its path is given by the equation where h is height above the ground in mm and t is in seconds. The flea leaves the dog at t=0 seconds and lands on the trampoline at t=1 second. Find:
i) The height of the dog’s nose.
ii) The height of the trampoline.
iii) The maximum height the flea reaches to the nearest mm.
iv) Sketch the height of the flea against time for t=0 to 1 second.
v) A second flea jumps according to the same equation the next day but the trampoline is not there. How long would this flea take to land (h=0) if the trampoline was not there?
vi) Sketch the height of the second flea against time for t=0 to 2 seconds.

Any help will do

Q1

i) 4x+2 = 162x-5 = 42(2x-5) ==> x = 4

ii) x = log2 32 = log2 25 = 5

iii) x = log (u^2v^2)/(u^2v^2) = log 1 = 0

iv) 53x-4 = 1 = 50 ==> 3x-4 = 0 ==> x = 4/3

v) 9x = sqr(3) = 9(1/4) ==> x = 1/4

vi) ==> log x^2 = log (4-3x) ==> x^2 = 4-3x ==> x = -4 or 1

Edit

How can u be doing maths at uni and "dislike" logs; how do u cope with uni maths?
