Find the equation of the locus of a point that moves so its distance from the line 3x+4y+5=0 is always 4 units.

What I gather from the question is, we need to use the distance formula (somehow) with that line, and make it equal to 4, but I am not sure.

need to use perpenidular distance formula.

also..why are u studying this, it is not part of the first hsc topic? are u still doing prelims.

We're doing chapter 2 in the HSC textbook at the moment.
