since i got a job, i will no longer be having youth allowance. I dont start work untill mid september so how do i notify then that i got a job & do i have to show any documents?

also how do i know if i'm eligible for youth allowance / austudy or not?

i'm not working ... but my parents are.

you = poor

then you = $$ from govt.

anyway, why don't you just call centrelink?

i'm going to go on a limb and say that you won't get money from centrelink because your parents are low-income earners, because of the fact that you are at university and you have the internet. i think the threshold is really relaly low, like <30k combined income for that to happen.

the other way you can claim youth allowance is to declare yourself independent, and that can be done by earning 17k (that figure may have gone up since i last checked) in 18 months.

i dunno, you could also get a job.
