Like the new PowerBook G4s?

Fibre optic backlighting, Bluetooth, Wireless Networking (802.11g), SuperDrive (DVD-RW, DVD-ROM, CD-RW), 12", 15" and widescreen 17"?

Hehehe... I love Apple laptops, and it's a shame I don't own one. :)

Mmm... *drools*

Simple answer: too much :)

Go for the iBook if you want something cheaper,
visit:

http://www.apple.com.au/education/store
browser (view only)

PowerBook G4's
12" $2700 - $3000
15" $3400 - $4400
17" $5000

iBooks (G3)

12" $1800 - $2300
14" $2700 - $3100

They can all change of course, depending on any extras you want, more RAM, hard disk space, other educational packages, software (other than what is included normally), other hardware devices (iSight) and the rest. :)

iBook 12" is the cheapest, but I am saving for a PowerBook G4 for university... I've got a looooong way to go :D I'm on $20 out of $3000 LOL or something like that!

I believe some members of this forum r part of the lifebook retailing/marketing/distribution team.

Anyhow, my inexperience and my enjoyment in BSing have got the better of me again, thanks so so so so much for correcting my mistake. Just on that issue, I had problem using WinME and WinXP on my IBM, duno why, but the computer really stuffed up. (believe it or not)

I admit I am certainly not the most knowledgeable when it comes to computers, so don't take my comments too seriously.

Just remembered, go chek out this months APC magazine, they did a lot of testing on a huge range of laptops, i fink (chek b4 u buy)

I am actually an Apple employee, under the guise of a HSC student in NSW... heheh.

I love iMacs, PowerBooks/iBooks and even the iPod.
But I have only ever used an iMac (teardrop, old design, coloured ones with Mac OS 8 and 9).

I'm in love with OS X though, visually :)

Hopefully (next year, or the year after) I will be able to save/get a PowerBook G4 15" or even 12"

I wouldn't buy a 17" though... too much bling bling $$
