hey i have an essay due soon about king lear at bondi and if it was successful in interpretting wat shakespeare was on about. Im pretty much talkin bout how it was a minimalist interpretation and it wasnt very effective in the storm scene and the ending scenes... but i need more help!
If any1 has any info for me it would be gladly appreciated !!!

well i guess you should consider various techniques like lighting, tone of Lear's voice, movement-erratic???, set, sound effects---> which despite it's minimalistc qualities did carry the intensity and madness quite well.

lighting--green, flickering light
tone- lear -erratic , lacked authority

you could talk about the fact that Bondi production was based on japanese Theatre of the Noh, with minimal props/costumes/actors... how this was effective/non effective?? i dunno lol i thought the perfromance was shit myself.. wouldve fallen asleep, but i had smelly niosy boys sitting behind me
