What do you want to say about the journey? You could discuss the ways that journeys can have unexpected outcomes or that journeys are not always positive experiences, but I honestly think you will have more to write/talk about if you choose texts which reveal the individual's reactions to the journey undertaken and what was achieved by travelling on that journey. You will not be able to access that information from texts about air disasters. Try a travel documentary, or a television show like "Who do you Think You Are?" or "The World's Strictest Parents"; a poem like "We Are Going" by Oodgeroo or "Journey of the Magi' (Eliot) or a picture book such as "Home and Away" (Ottley) or "The Red Tree" (Tan). Physical journey where an individual discovers something new about himself or the world around her often work well. All the best.
