I'm pretty sure TAFEs don't have PhD programs...
I'm pretty sure that's what TWS wants you to think.

and myst1fy, I love how your sig essentially responds to your own post. It really makes life easier for the rest of us.

Proof that UWS is a TAFE:

UWS students got bad ATARS
=>UWS students couldn't get into proper universities
=>UWS is not a university

But UWS offers degrees,
Thus the result follows.

Yes..but if you read the small print on the UWS charter you'd see that UWS students who study 'UWS Law' or UWS Medicine' don't actually meet the requirements of the federal bodies that allow people to practice law/medicine.

Illiterate little boy. Back to your sewer.

Med is the most prestigious degree at uni
UWS offers med
UTS and Maq do not

==> UWS is more of a uni than those institutions :santa:

Alot of people I know say it is actually just a (not all that) glorified tafe.
LOL YOU'RE ALL MISTAKEN....

UWS IS A GREAT UNI with low cutoffs because its relatively NEW when compared Sydney's other universities..

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it...

generalisation right there... there are other unis who have equally as bad, or if not - worse atars as the students who go to UWS. I'm not saying uws is shit, however - the ATAR of a course reflects the amount of people who want to do that course at that certain university. Some universities such as ACU, UOC or UNE have 'lower' atars too.. so why of all universities would you say that UWS is shit? (ps i'm not saying that any of the above universities are shit)
anyways, in the end - when you're writing up your CV, a student who got first class honours will usually be better than someone from (for example sydney uni) who got passes
