I thought I'd just post info on the new firmware update for the iRiver H300 series Hard Drive MP3 player in case owners don't know.
Video playback! I didn't even know about the new feature (iRiver website dosen't have much information about the feature) until I updated and went to play from my music list, except to witness "video loading" mesage when it attempted to play a video file that i had stored on it.....It failed to play, but looked into the matter, now It plays video files easily.
If you don't know about how to use this feature just update your H300 series with latest firmware: www.iriver.com
Theres a transcoding program also avalible to make encoding video files an easy process: here (note: download the experimental version 0.3.51_RC11). I think it only encodes DivX files, but i haven't needed to encode anything else yet, so it might be able to do others. However it will require Xvid to be installed from here .
