NaCl will form a neutral solution when dissolved,

a) anything to differentiate between acidic and neutral e.g. bromothymol blue
b) anything to differentiate between basic and neutral e.g. phenolphthalein
c) your tongue :p

NOTE: I haven't done this at school yet so I may be wrong, this was what I got from a quick skim through my textbook.

You're pretty much spot on.

Also, it is best if you memorise the exact pH range for which the four indicators, mentioned in the syllabus, change colours.

Dunno about C though.

Pretty much all the 4 acids included in your syllabus document.

Although I have the methyl orange because testing acids with that indicator cannot be done for me!!!

I can't see the colour change because of its natural orangish colour
