What happens to the internal assessment mark when two people are tied during the HSC.
For instance, if there are two first places:

Student 1 :98
Student 2 :91

Are the marks added together and divided for the internal assessment mark or does the higher mark out of the two become the assesment mark?

Also if they are tied 2nd assuming first place beats them what happens to the internal mark in the same situation?

Tied second has no special implications on internal marks, tied first is an average yes. So in your above case, both students would keep their externals and get 94.5 internal (would appear as 95)

So if you're tied 3rd, or even tied 4th, 5th or whatever (not first, not last) how are the internal marks calculated?

Yeah, I'd like to know this. I'm =2nd in Modern, =4th in Extension 1 English, =8th in English Advanced and =6 in History Extension.

Will equal places impact me? Please explain :(
