Im screwed, my calculator calculates wrong. (1 Viewer)

OK, I have a casio fx-82ms. I've cleared the memory. I set the mode to sd. put in some numbers pressing M+ after each. Then, pressing shift 1 should give me mean while shift 2 the standard deviation.

But it comes up with the same. For standard deviation, on screen is:

x with line above.

Then another x and owith a line and an n all next to each other.

then the same as previous except -| at the end and:

What is wrong??

ok if no one can help me for why it is always showing the same values, are those 3 symbols supposed to be showing when you do YOUR sd???

Reset your calculator, go through mode/menu and choose normal or use a schools calculator

on a casio fx-82MS in SD mode, u press shift then 2 to get to the standard deviation and mean menu

u press 1 for mean, 2 for standard deviation, and 3 for standard deviation of a sample (it has the -1 next to it)

yea i hate when your caluclator setting goes off, lucky my programmed my setting on my calculator so it never goes off.

for that question i got something like 1.69 for standard diveation, i hope its right
