is anyone whose studying P&P and using it for a prescribed..talking about sexual tension in the movie? like mentioning how it shows the gradual change in values because of the individual's actions and how 20th C viewers now accept it? compared to like the criticism of "The awakening" and tradition "chaste woman" ???

Lol, I just happen to be looking at the syllabus, and one of the dot points is "explaining why and how different aspects of texts are valued in different contexts". So if you mention something like the critical essay, Mr Darcys body: Privelaging the female gaze, hones in on Langtons increased use of sexual tension through the use of additional scenes, due to 20th C viewers etc. Explaining the alteration in values. Then contrasting it with like you said, the criticism of "the awakening". I guess, you could possibly compare it with Browning there, and his portrayal of women?

But yeah, thats just my take on it.
