However, we offer users a lot of leeway in discussion. So in this thread for example, Sylvia has made many controversial statements but they are valid opinions and they dont break the rules. He is criticising different cultures (which can be interpreted as racist) but he isnt making outright racist statements. Users are free to challenge his views.

While Im here, another thing about Sylvia, he knows the rules really well. So he will use his tactics to get under people's skin and they lash out by making threats or flaming him. If you do the latter, then we get involved and take action against you -thus handing him an even bigger win.

The african slave trade was initiated by africans. Most of the enslaving was done by africans themselves, and arabs played a much, much larger role in the african slave trade and for a longer time period than europeans.

Violent conquest has been the absolute standard practice for almost all people since the beginning of time. It's just that most other people weren't as good at it as Europeans, though even when they were comparable, like the mongols, nobody criticises them, because they aren't white.

And Europeans never inflicted "genocide" upon any non-western people.
