would anyone possibly have an assesment practical (im looking for the method) which would give me an example of a method which is up to the 'hsc standard' ...?

Isn't it just the procedurein doing the practical? That's what I usually do, and I managed to do quite well in most pracs. Also, draw diagrams, because, they save a lot of writing.

It is hard to say. Each teacher will be after different standards.

Summarising:
1. In Steps
2. Third person
3. Each step logically follows the one before.
4. Clearly explains set up (diagram)
5. Clearly states what is controlled
6. Clearly states what s varied (independent variable)
7. Clearly states what is to be recorded, with what and how (Dependent variable)
8. Repitition
9. Large sample size
10. Accurate
11. Repeatable and reliable
12. Valid
13. What analysis is required

The emphasis would change depending on the school.
