Re: HSC Assessments- Thoughts/Results v1.0

English is a bugger, isn't it? I'm doing the Area of Study now (Imaginative Journeys). Currently I'm ranked equal first, but it remains to be seen whether I can keep it. It's not nearly as straightforward as the sciences or the maths. :(

One alright mark is nothing to get your hopes down on. You'll make up for it in your other subs ^^

Re: HSC Assessments- Thoughts/Results v1.0

Thanks alot guys, it was pretty much an in-class prac assessment on electrochemistry. Had measurements, calculations, and some short answer questions. All in all, a great start for my sciences. =)

Re: HSC Assessments- Thoughts/Results v1.0

LOOL Nice........thats like the reverse for me, this time Last year I had my first chem. Did the electro chemistry with some alchohol and prac stuff and pulled out like a 70%....which was like 16th.

BUT I brought it back with some above 90's in the rest to get a 1st place at the end

48.5/50 Very Very Nice
And I dont know how you benefactors can have so many posts in like half a year, I have seen the proliferation in ExtII lol but man you guys are speed demons

You think that's bad?! Well I got 16.5/30 (~8/15) for my English Area Of Study essay!!! Only just passed!!!!! My HSC assessment marks so far:

- English AOS essay - 16.5/30 (around 5th) <== Bloody teachers mark so hard!!!

- Mathematics 2 unit short examination - 61/63 (equal 3rd) <== One mark away from first - too bad it doesn't count...:(

- Mathematics Extension 1 short examination - 36/40 (equal 3rd) <== One mark away from first place again!!! sooooo close........

So far, so good. Just hope, I achieve similar or perhaps better results in my Science assessments and Mathematics Extension 2 assessments coming soon......

Nice work riviet, excellent mark for one of the tougher courses on the HSC.

Trebla, everyone has areas they're good in and not so good in, you're obviously quite the whiz at maths (just doing the extension 2 maths course says to me you've got a penchant and a talent for it), so you shouldn't worry about those not-so-hot english marks if its just not your area.

Re: HSC Assessments- Thoughts/Results v1.0

Finally got back my Advanced English AOS essay and Software Design and Development Major Project Stage 1:

Advanced English – AOS Essay

18/25 – rank unknown? But at least in the top 50% as my AOS speech was 12/15

Software Design and Development – Major Project Stage 1

19/20 – ranked 2nd :D missed out tying for 1st by 1 mark :( oh well still plenty of time left.
