I used to think doing 3 Egyptian Topics was something unallowed by BOS! But I'm reading through and sooo many people are doing it that way! imo - that would be such an awesome way of doing Ancient History; having three sections overlap like that. :( Lucky buggers LOL!

bellemore is like, one of most respected experts on hatshepsut and NKE around, hes got so much passion for it. won the premiers westfeild scholarship in history two or so years back. it would have been great, reallllly liked the guy.

our new teachers not so great. nice, but just not bellemore.

The Egyptian periods and societies don't overlap at all, and if students think they do, they really don't understand the topics.

With regards to the personalities... A lot of them across ancient history overlap with the periods, so *shrug*. Although, with the exception of Roman topics, the periods tend to be much larger than the personalities, so it's not a great help.

Er, I'm sure you'll take this the wrong way nomatter how I say it, so I'll just throw it out there: He's not a respected expert on Hatshepsut, let alone one of the most respected experts...

Basic test of whether someone is even notable is if they appear on Aigyptos. Everyone who's ever taught me at uni, for example, is on there. Several of my friends have multiple entries, and when it gets updated, I'll have one, too. My old Middle Egyptian tutor, who is only in second year of his PhD and is ~24 will have five entries when the site pdates.

Jan Assmann is one of the most respected experts on Hatshepsut and the New Kingdom - Aigyptos lists over 325 relevant pieces of work for him; most of which are on the New Kingdom. Around 50 of them involve Hatshepsut. He is an expert, not your teacher.

Sorry to hit you with the news, but if you go into your exam quoting some guy who's never published anything (and that's who you quote - "experts"), you'll get slaughtered.
