For a start, what are the basics in writing an economics essay? Any tips?

My question is- Discuss characteristics of globalisation and analyse its impact on economics growth and living standard of an economy other than Australia.

Can't someone give me some help?

Discuss - provide points for and/or against...c i still know it even though I went brain dead after my last exam!

Also, to get into Band 6 territory, include alot of up to date statistics and examples(preferably from the past 6 months).

Essays that read like a regurgitated textbook usually don't score very well.

yeah use the syllabus...be to the point and use as much RELEVANT statistics to get u into the top bands.....basic outline is definition, introduction of your stance and what u're talking about, statistics and trends that back u up, then body of argument, then a short conclusion reiterating your intro. this outline will vary between students tho...thats my basic outline
