UAI is calculated from your 10 best units including 2 compulsory units of English (if you do extensions then it’s your two best units). They then use your HSC mark to calculate your UAI. Your HSC mark is made up of 50% internal assessments (that includes assignments\trials\half yearlies) and 50% external (the HSC exam). Essentially on your HSC record achievement you get Assessment mark, HSC exam mark, HSC mark.

So your trials are counted online in your assessment mark and depending on their weighting will depend on how much they count towards it. Hope that clarifies it, otherwise greater minds then mine will help.
