I was actually aiming for 90, all year, to get into Commerce at Macquarie Uni...thank god I got higher...

I studied that much because I had to...it was basically cramming all my subjects, because I wasn't really 'learning' the stuff until close to trials

after u get your trial marks back, and the 2004 uac guide at the same time...your motivation sort of goes out the window...

Watching smart people movies helps because you kinda want to be like them.
e.g. finding forrester, good will hunting, k-pax (sorta), a beautiful mind etc.

For some reason, "I am Sam" works really well.

Oh. Going a little extreme here but researching on smart people can get you motivated. People like Steven Hawking and William James Sidis (i think he's the smartest guy in history).

Does anyone know of anymore smart people movies?

This is what i do....
Lock my self in my study and kick anyone out of my room or anyone who dares approach it. I very sensitive to sound....very effective

I end up in a trance in which i just study, study study till i get tired or hungry
[usually afta 3-4 hrs]

give it a try... the hard bit is actually getting motivated to start but after that its smooth sailing

I got told by a doctor that the best thing to eat when doing study for exams and stuff is apple juice and vitamin B!
They help with concentration and and stress and help the body do other stuff... :uhhuh:

Sorry not very useful; but I have a Berocca every day and drink apple juice when studying -> seems to help me stay motivated and I seem to be able to think clearer! Blah blah, I'm probably just shitting on, but yeah...go apple juice! :p

NB: I wrote this exact same reply in this thread ->

Just be motivated by the desire to be satisfied that you've done everything you possibly could have beginning from now until the end of the HSC.
