cellulose has a long chain carbon structure which give it the potential to replace petroleum as feedstocks for petrochemicals as each glucose monomer consist of 4 carbon atoms linked in a chain with -OH and -H functional groups

do each glucose have 4 carbon atoms ?? or is the wording wrong, hmm from some random source in the past
