My overall lowest mark was 9% for a topic test on Surds in Year 10 Advanced Maths. I felt so stupid..But I recovered. (I believe I got an even lower mark for one on trigonometry, but again, only a Year 10 topic test.)

Lowest mark of Year 12 was in my English half-yearly, where I got 65%*.. (It was only a 'Paper One', and I stuffed up the essay by not using all my texts, and thus getting 6/15.) It's alright though, because I recovered my marks through doing well on the King Lear assessment (20/20) and the Trial.

At the time, I was really annoyed at myself for making such foolish mistakes, but it's alright, because I managed to recover my marks by doing well on the other assessments. If anything, it served as a 'learning experience', a stimulus towards doing better. :p

*Advanced was also where I got my second lowest-mark, 15/20 for the AoS essay. Other than those two occasions, I've generally been happy with my assessment marks.

So yes, while low marks can be traumatising, they can be used as an incentive to improve.

My lowest would be 2/24 for an art exam, non assesable, so i didnt care, i just tryed to make it humourus...thats why i got 2 marks, for humour.

My mate, for a year 11 prelim economics test, for the writen section, he wrote a story about "champo the shark". Got a non serious attemp.

Another friend got 29% as his overall yearly mark for art. In his exam, he answered every question with "I feel that this work represents mans struggle against man, mans struggle against nature, and mans struggle against himself".

Same guy got a non-seriouse attempt due to offensive material for his ext english gothic story, because he wrote, like a 7000 word pornographic version of frankinstein...the main problem was the necrophelia.

Ohh yeah, and i failed my english prelims coz i got weeded for the test.

And I go to a selective school.
