whats 8x+6X3x.... the littles x's are the algebraic letters, (the big X is the mulplication sign) help would be greatly appreciated

thanks :) that was the answer given in Excel Workbook, was the question a typo?

= 24x+6

(8x and 3x can be mulitplied [as they are the same] but the 6 cannot be plused to that total)

(i hope im right)

You mean ...

8x + 6 x 3x

well ...

8x + 6 x 3x
= 8x + 18x (multiply 6 and 3x together first)
= 26x (add like terms)
