help with PHB biopolymer??!! (1 Viewer)

i need to describe how polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) is synthesised, including the name of the specific enzyme(s) or organisms used to synthesise the material...

i cannot find any information on the development of this particular biopolymer...

can anyone help??

Also, take a look at PLA - polylactic acid. It's what I did for chem HSC. It was quite interesting.

Have you tried looking in Conquering Chemistry textbook? There is a ton of information in there

Or simply use Google, Wiki, or search these forums

Well for this biopolymer they used Alcaligenes and E.Coli to synthesise the PHB
