I am thinking of ideas for my senior geography project. It is due in 7 weeks but I want to get started during holidays.
We have to do ours on biophyiscal interactions - Atmosphere, biosphere etc, Population Geography or Natural Resource use
1. What do you have to do for a SGP? I am clueless
2. What are some ideas/questions I can use to help support me

Project has to be carried out inner Liverpool suburbs - Bonnyrigg, Green Valley etc

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thank you.

I did urban consolidation for mine (population geography)

Do you have any high density housing in your area?

i did water quality testing in the cooks river for mine last year. i found it was a lot easier to do anything to do with biophysical interactions since the primary research is extensive. However i actually did it properly... if you are doing it as a last minute type of thing then population geography is your best bet.

There's lots of things that you can do

Is there any major developments happening in a nearby area?
Is there a park in a nearby area
Is there a shopping centre/ strip of shops in a nearby area
Is there a lake/pond near your area
etc

Basically all you do for your for SGP is your write yourself a question, and then you answer that question through lots of research (primary and secondary)

Good luck

I live near a park, shops and a creek. What possible questions can I create?

Some ideas could be like

Park:
Traffic congestion
Noise pollution
land degradation
Sources of pollution in the community

Shops:
Traffic congestion
Changing patterns of employment in the community
Impact of business closures on a small community

Creek
Water testing/quality of the water
toxic algal blooms

Urban decay and renewal (although this may be a bit difficult)
