The obvious example is chapter 27 - Oil, where the characters discuss the pros/cons of oiling drilling on Newfoundland

chapter 29 - dialogue about the insurance

Couple of quotes to get you started:

Tert Card is pro-Global, devoted to materialism and economic progress

“The hope of this place… is oil… The petrodollars.” – Tert

“They discovered the largest oil reserve in Canada right off our shores.” – Tert

“we’re all going to be rich… it’s to be golden days” - Tert

All was progress and possession, all push and shove now”

“They [tourists] don’t stay for more than a day or two, but my boy, when they sets foot on the dock they commence to hurl money around”.

“He’s got two shares of Mobil. Two!” - Pretty
