Ok just to start, is anyone as annoyed as I am with the USYD handbook and website? It's as if I'm endlessly on hold to inquire about the state of my bank account. GAH!

Anyway, I'm torn between Economics, Management and Operations Management and Decision Sciences. Also considering Econometrics and HR etc, though not preferred. Atm, I've found I can only do 2 of those. I'm wondering if I can say, add on a degree/whatever I can do so I can do all 3? Economics, Management and OMDS? I have no idea, and am so sick of chasing round trying to find out! Atm, have only got BComm, not BComm/Arts or whatever, if that helps at all.

If you were doing Comm/Arts you would be able to do all 3, as an arts degree would allow you to major in management through the faculty of econ and business. That way you could do the other 2 majors as part of your comm degree. Im not sure how you go about enrolling in Comm/arts though, you would have to ask your faculty for advice on that.

I don't think you'd be able to fit 3 E&B majors in with the double degree, as you'd still need to do an arts major

Well in the event, unlikely, likely whatever the case may be... that I can only have 2 E&B majors, which would be the best out of Management and Op&Dec? I've heard management is both useful and useless lol. Useful cause of the need for people who can work with a business not just in a technical way, and useless as in you're not skilled enough? Also, Op and Dec seems similar to Econometrics, which seems kinda dry considering I'm also doing economics and don't want to do both.

I thought decision science was just econometrics, just obviously more specialised in the management side, so if you're not keen on econometrics, probably go for management

On that note, I do kinda get a taste of everything in first year, right? I don't have to choose the path of eco/mgmt from first year...
