Hey guys can u please help me with this question:

A magician can only perform a trick if the spectator does not choose one of the kings, from a standard pack of cards. If this does happen he tells a joke which he uses to dismiss this selection (which is then returned to the pack) and convinces the spectator to make anothe choice. He can only do this once however.

Calculate the probability of the magician being able to perform the trick successfully on any given occasion.

he will fail if he gets king twice in a row
prob of getting king once is 1/13
prob of getting king twice in a row is (1/13)2 = 1/169

thereforefore prob of not getting king twice in a row is 1- 1/169 = 168/169
