whadup bos.
i'm doing a terra cotta based architectural piece with various loose blocks approximately the size of a cd case, or around abouts.
however my question is about the firing.
i'm not sure what oxide to use, and what concentration etc.
my school uses an electric kiln, and as i mentioned, i'm using terra-cotta clay.
i was wanting to achieve a contrasted colour in the piece by using a very deep, almost black, purple hue, together with a musty brown colour (the latter might be more focused on the effect, as opposed to colour).
i've looked around but i'm not sure what oxide will acheive the desired outcome.
so any help in regards to temperature, concentration, formula etc will be greatly appreciated, i'm starting to get a tad anxious here as i didn't expect it to be this difficult!
