Has anyone seen Monster (Charlize Theron)? (1 Viewer)

This is an MA movie. I am 17. My parents are not allowing me to watch it. I have a DVD copy of the film that I took to a friends house, my dad took it off me. My parents both consider me to be very mature and intelligent, and I didnt think theyd have a problem with me watching it, considering I have seen some pretty gruesome movies in my time. Is there something particulary wrong with this film that would warrant this? Or is just because they're lesbians? I bet it is. I got into a fight with my mum over this..I'm upset that they are censoring me from this film considering the last two films I have seen was Passion of the Christ and Kill Bill.

If you have seen Monster, plz give me insight into how bad the movie actually is. I know they are my parents and they have control over me, but I'd just like to know what the hell is wrong with this film?

I haven't seen it, but if it's rated MA I don't think it could be at all terrible.

i dont think its very funny. thats why im so pissed off - its an MA movie. but my mum full on gave me the cold shoulder and isnt talking to me ever since i said i should be able to watch it. what a bitch. she said shes not allowing me to watch pornography, lesbian pornography she then added. she also mentioned other stuff like the murders, but i think that was her main argument. All of my personal DVDs are MA and R, I dont know what their fricken deal is

She gained lots of weight and they put stacks of makeup on her for her role. She's stunning in 'real' life!

I want to see it.

1. LOZ - THE CATS MEOW FREAKIN ROCKS!

2. Monster deserves an R rating, in My honest opinion.

3. Charlize Theron was nomination worthy, but in no way WIN worthy at the academy awards, but im not angry. Samantha Morton and Naomi Watts were truly brilliant in "In America" and "21 Grams" respectively. Keisha Castle Hughes comes close.

4. Chrisina Ricci = Dreadful. Very disappointed in her performance.

5. Monster isnt 4/5, but mainly a 3/5 film, which is mediocre. Nothing too great.

6. Monster is an EXCELLENT related text for English (Journeys) and can be used to convince your folks
