Halloween (the 1978 original) and Halloween 2
Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Myers and a hospital, fantastic horror!

The grudge - jap version.
Asian horror films are fantastic. The originals of The Eye, The Ring, The Grudge, etc are great.

I love horror films, but western ones never scare me anymore. :( Onryou films are the ones that will only get me - I've always wondered what that means, psychologically...

Asian horrors are always scarier than western ones. I watched the grudge when I was around 13 and that stayed with me for a while.

As stated above, The Exorcist (won 2 oscars). It was a real shocker in its day and still is now.
also
The Poltergeist (1982) (it was nominated for 3 oscars, to).

i know i'll cop stuff for this, but i'm a fan of the saw movies. also, house of wax, i found pretty freaky, plus u get to see paris hilton die! she gets the back of her ankle snipped with tin cutters and then recieves a pole through the head (pardon the pun)

I think anyone would enjoy "The Others" staring Nicole Kidman, "Vacancy" staring Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale any of the Danny Boyle horror films (28 DAYS LATER AND 28 WEEKS LATER) and if u want a really hilariously funny horror film go for "The Grudge Two", oh and u might like "Pulse" staring Kristen Bell

Anyway thats my advice they are a good movie night selection, and also if ur like easily scared, watch When A Stranger Calls with Camilla Bell, people say its weak but hey its scary enough for me!!!

Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and TCM: the beginning (the modern ones)

The hills have eyes 1 and 2 (again, the modern ones)

Hostel 1 and 2

identity (awesome movie!)

not so much scary, but gory.

Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2

Scream 1, 2 and 3

Halloween (rob zombie re-make)

28 days later and 28 weeks later

also, what is it with people saying vacancy, i thought that movie was so fucking lame, the ending was so bad as well.
