what conditions are galvanic cells created?

i have :
- complete circuit
- 2 half cells
- salt birdge
- cells need to contain ions of the electrodes to work

anything else i need to mention?

btw, does anyone have their prac notes typed up?

you forget to mention to have two half-cells, you gotta have a conductive electrode.

What conditions?

I initally thought of it as what type of

Temperature/Pressure/Concentration.

If that is a prac you're doing you probably want to mention that it was connected to a voltmeter as well.

here some random stuff that makes it more complicated:

- Half cells must be DIFFERENTLY potentiated and connected by wires passing through a voltmeter
- Water-soluble salt of the metal used (for both the salt bridge and half-cells)

heres some justification for it:

- Only difference in potential of half cells can produce voltage (transfer of electrons)
- Water-soluble salt (nitrates) is used so that solution can be formed and ions can migrate

oh yea and the electrodes chosen must have an emf(total) of more than zero. ie postive

and like Ragerunner said the temperature and pressure/concentration also can be factors
