When you guys apply for jobs where give them your CV and wait for them to call you and the call doesnt come, do you go in and ask whats going on, or is that abit too eager? or do you just accept the fact that they dont want you and move on with your life...

yeah if its a job you really want, give them a call and see what happening

but im just emailing my resume off to so many places, i forget which job is which...makes no difference to me

You wait. And wait. And five months later, when you've got a job, they call you back.

So i'd advise you keep a list of their names and which company they're from. Otherwise, five months down the track, a "Michelle" calls you and asks if you can come in for an interview tomorrow, you actually know who the hell it is.

Personally, i think your chances are better if you walk around and politely ask for a job with a few copies of your CV in a bag. Sure, you get rejected a lot. But most of my friends (and myself) have gotten jobs this way.
