Argh, stupid CGE online quiz. I just did with a reasonable degree of confidence only to get 13/20. Ive got no idea of what I did wrong, and suspect that it went down to trick questions (which more often than not fail to test knowledge).
Furthermore this also happened in the last quiz, for which we have still not received the answers.

I know that since its a 5-6 day open-book test they have to make it hard. But the last two seem to have gone to a very specific level where the lecture and textbook material has not really prepared me (or anyone else judging by the average mark).

Oh well, maybe this is what its supposed to be like. I might have to actually think scientifically by using concepts on various problems instead of simply memorising facts.

YES CGE is ridiculous, and I agree with all you said.. The last two quizzes have been so full on its not funny. It said first week of evo topics would be covered.. and the questions were not first week material..

Yes Med sci is nearly finished just the discussion left to do!

I have group work for all of my subjects this semester =o

I think it was like 2 weeks ago.. i had 4 group meetings for each one within that week.

haha thats a pity allister....from my memory, i cant think of a subject that my course has group work...maybe physics and some case studies but thats about it.

ah looking at the one and only exam paper for principles of forensic science, i can confidently say that ill be looking forward to that subject next semester...provided i have a decent lecturer

i did majority of the bstats assignment

i contributed to every email
and did 6 out of 8 of them

Finished BStats just then. All printed and done as at 12:30AM. Due date today 9:00AM lol.

Group meetings are pretty useful.. if everyone is dedicated they are pretty effective. MSN just doesn't cut it sometimes.. even a phone call is better.

Group work = WIN if you find the right group members.

it was like a picnic

Hey guys, can someone explain this to me if they know what it means?

I think I got the idea just need some confirmation.

"Caveats: If you score less than 40% on the final examination, your final
assessment mark will be the minimum of a mark of 44% and
the mark obtained by using the standard assessment procedure.
If you score less than 55% on the final examination, your final
assessment mark will be the minimum of a mark of 64% and the
mark obtained by using the standard assessment procedure."

Does it mean like.. say I score 49% then I will get a minimum mark of 64%? Like wtf.. Could I fail? ... if i wanted to?

i went with some friends in their business lecture.

omg theres no happiness around the place, fucking everyone sits away from each other and the lecturer is so retared that she needs to put annoying sound effects in her slides. ffs accounting makes my eyes & EARS bleed

and it was late
so no one was there
the bitch cleaner didnt open 4 us lol
and then we went to the otherside where it was
and went on the wrong level
but we found it eventually
if we went today
we wouldve been late as we wouldnt hav found it in time
