telling people to shut up in lectures: yay or nay?

there were these people behind me talking loudly in every single lecture so i ended up telling them to shut up. they replied maturely by kicking my chair and clicking pens next to my ear. luckily i havent seen them since.

That's why you have to carry a knife around. I would have turned around and said 'you wanna play motherfucker'

I, for the life of me, cannot imagine even going to a lecture involving boring and crappy financial theory and practise. There can't be anything more boring than listening to some person drone on and on about money, bonds, shares and whatever else they talk about for an hour. Yuk.

I'd much rather vote for Costello than vote for Howard. Better yet, why not just NOT vote for the Liberal party all together! You'd be doing Australia a great service.

Due to the fact that the ALP doesn't make polo shirts from what I saw on their website, I'm gonna get my own made from some place in Sydney whose name I forget. Look out for an ALP T-Shirt near you!

That is all.

yeah well, i didnt want to bring this up but they WERE speaking in another language and they dont appear to understand english too well.

i didnt really wanna bring it up, because anyone talking loudly behind me in a lecture would annoy me, but the fact that they were speaking some foreign language didnt help.

theres like 12 copies of this textbook i need this session in the library and theyre constantly on loan. everytime i reserve one and get my hands on it, i have to return it a few days later. and im not gonna buy it for $111, as i only need it for the rest of this session.

anybody know where the elusive 'photocopying desk' is? apparently you can get back-to-back photocopies for ~0.15c a page rather than 0.11c a page. quite a saving indeed.

Looks like someone has added a bunch of pictures to the wiki article about UNSW, and done a bit of extra writing. It actually looks like a real article now, instead of endless lists.

I would be so mad to have that implemented, but it won't happen in your Uni years.

Yargh. I've seen the North West corridor and the new Campbelltown Express line (which looks to be under construction) on the railcorp website, but the rest is new to me. I could use it within my uni lifetime (after enduring years of construction work) if I stayed there and became some kind of lunatic postgrad student.

I suppose this ends my limit of talking about trains for the next 6 months.

even if is all planned out, it would take at least 10-15 years before the train line will even open
thats if theres even a possibility of a train line at unsw
