What is the HSC standard for the minimum word count that could potentially receive full marks for an essay?
And what would that roughly equate to in terms of typed pages/words?
thanks.

About 800 minimum, but it's more about covering everything properly than word count. And I never typed my essays, but they were always about 7-8 pages written.

Our teacher always said 900-1300 words but in eco the more you write generally the more you can cover and hence the higher the mark you can achieve. Personally I think you would need to write at least 1000-1100 words per essay to get full marks but I tended to write 1300-1500 which is more possible since you have approx. 1hour/essay in the exam.

1000ish is alright however there is no real minimum word limit. Cover all the criteria to an extensive level and you can achieve 20/20. This may take person A 1500 words and perzon B 1000 words.
