I've learned esters & carbo acids are funct group isomers, so are cycloalkanes & alkenes, ketones & aldehydes;

and alcohols & ethers, but ethers isn't really in the syllabus range yet they do count as funct group isomers, so if there's a question on the no. of funct isomers of an alcohol, should we consider ethers

are esters and carb acids really functional group isomers though?? carb acids have -OH and =O, but esters have -O- and =O
are we saying that -OH is the same group as -O- ???

Functional group isomers though, so as long as same molecular formula and diff funct group doesn't matter right
