I've had it! I have truly had it with companies thinking that a sock puppet is a good advertising tool!

They aren't!

First there's a certain schizophrenic red sock puppet talking to itself about great deals and savings; now there's a green sock puppet with crappy woolen facial hair being a smart ass.

When will it end??? :burn:

Any other ads you wish would fall off the face of the earth and die?

There is an ad for mascara that makes the woman look like the little boy from The Grudge.

Yeah, i agree that the advertisers got us to talk about the products, but it doesnt mean we're gonna go out and buy them. Means we're gonna bitch about the ad more.

I hate Rivers ads. They're lame.

Also the Harvey Norman ones. Yelling does not mean sales.

All those "unscripted" ads. You know, the ones where 2 ladies (and they are almost invariably women) are sitting at some uncomfortable looking plastic table or a fake lounge room, having coffee and 'chatting' about panadol/cough medicine/broadband internet/life insurance etc....argh they shit me up the wall.

"you know sally, i've always wondered about the benefits of bla bla"
"well jill, did you know [rant]"
"oh really? *sip* but how can we be sure about bla bla?"

and it goes on and on for like 5 minutes. grahglafl.

Damn straight! and those 'understanding 50' commercials. WTF is with them? one way to solve it: change the bloody channel. but wait... it's pretty rare, but sometimes the channels are synchronised, and have the same ad!!! this is when i shut my eyes, put my hands over my ears and shout 'la la la' until the torture ends.

Yes. I don't even know what it's for. And it's like a mini variety show with a throway line about APIA at the end.

I don't even watch the ads. Ads are on I change the channel, or go get something to eat or go to the bathroom.
