when Victor's father says "Ah! Cornelius Agrippa! My dear Victor, do not waste your time upon this; it is sad trash." does he say it because it is outdated, or because he doesn't believe/care for science stuff? reflecting the romanticism movement? how can I relate it to romanticism or age of enlightenment?

its a good quote which we used as an assessment for its relation to context .
