reading through various young writers showcases and the like, i see the emerging trend that when it comes to short stories, works that are marked highly usually utilize different forms.
for example, "der platz" by arie bogle (50/50, featured in showcase 06) switches between several short journalistic fuellitons and a screen play for a silent film.
i'm interested - short story writers, do you vary your form? are you writing one story (or several) start to finish in the "traditional" way- all prose?
personally, i use a mixture series of corrospondences (telegrams, letters etc), prose and fuellitons.
