Hello everyone,

Which of the following would be the correct format of the court name when writing in the body of an essay?

. Victoria Court of Appeal
. Victorian Court of Appeal
. Victoria's Court of Appeal
. Supreme Court of Victoria Court of Appeal
. Supreme Court of Victoria, Court of Appeal
. Supreme Court of Victoria (Court of Appeal)
. Supreme Court of Victoria - Court of Appeal

Thanks!

hi eminere.

well, essentially you're talking abt the same appellate court here. i don't think there's a standard, but if you must insist on shorthand in an exam, perhaps you can write this:

Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Victoria (VICCA) in the first instance, and VICCA in subsequent mentions.
