"Mr West also confirmed that the Red Hot Chili Peppers had been set to tour next year, but pulled out when their album release was delayed until March 2006"

From an article in the age. So there we have it new album release is march 2006 and RHCP will not be playing BDO. I had been hoping for sometime in the next 3 months but all reviews of the new music have been great. Apparently there is quite a bit of funk influence (ie bssm) in some of the new songs.

Enjoy.

chili peppers concert > chili peppers at big day out

i dont know why any chili peppers fans would want them playing big day out, they will get like an hour or an hour and a half max, in that time they wont get much in, you know 5 new songs, 3 btw, 3 from cali, 4 from bssm, one or two jams and your all out of time...

where as if they do their own tour you will get 2 to 3 hrs live, at least 6 from each of the for albums mentioned, also possibly 1 from mothers milk, and if your incredibly fucking lucky soul to squeeze.

that and bdo 06 isnt good for me...timing wise.

yeh, but im sure the peppers would of done solo shows as well as the BDO. Metallica did. I just think BDO has been poor of late, and the Peppers would lift it.

Im not as confident that chili peppers would do sideshows as you are.

BDO nearly saw the band split last time they played it in 99. And I know that flea doesnt like touring for more then 2 weeks at a time. BDO would be an except cause it would give flea time in melbourne with his family and friends. Im sure that is the only reason they would do bdo, and that they probably wouldnt want to do many more shows then the bdo.

and i know what your gonna say... its doesnt make sense in economic terms... chili peppers have been willing to sacrifice money in order to only tour 2 weeks at a time, and make sure they get rest between shows etc.... long run economically it makes perfect sense... if they went hard they would break up much much sooner then the way they currently tour.

CALLING ALL RHCP FANS

RollingStone.com said:
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have dubbed their ninth studio album Stadium Arcadium, according to Flea, and they plan to release it in April.
"It's very honest music, and I feel like we improved as craftsmen," said the bassist Friday at the Spike TV Video Game Awards in Los Angeles, where he and lead vocalist Anthony Kiedis were presenters. "We gave all we had to this album."

The follow-up to 2002's By the Way has been a long time in the making, as the Chili Peppers -- Kiedis, Flea, guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith -- wrote and rehearsed for seven months before entering the studio with producer Rick Rubin.

The band is now in the mixing stage, but Flea said there's quite a lot to mix. "We recorded a huge quantity of music," he said. "We're so in the middle of it, so it's hard to step back and look at it, but we think it's the best stuff we've ever done."

ok. your friend's parent didnt get a divorce because of the chili peppers. your friend's parents got divorced because their marriage wasn't working out, possibly because the mother didnt know how to control herself. how can you blame the chili peppers. that is the biggest cop out I have ever heard.

25 songs i believe... plus they will be releasing the other 13 song recorded in with each single in such a way that if you buy the single in one store you get 1 song, or if you buy it in another store you get a different b side.
