I just finished reading this great book called first they killed my father by luong ung. It was a true story of a killing fields survivor in cambodia and it was just amazing. The stuff the girl suffered, and she was only aged about 6 or 7. Amazing story of survival. I really recommend it.

Anyone else read it?

OMG! i have read this book! it made me cry, i have no idea how that poor girl survived all that. She shows true inner strength, that has to be something i admire in her.

i read this whilst travelling around cambodia- that is an experience that never leaves you! if you liked it, try 'stay alive my son', and 'when broken glass floats' (or something like that).

they are very similar, but also fantastic

I read this book when I was seriously going through a craze for these kinda books. Like the Asian, female, tragic history related biographies - I couldnt get enough of them! I really didnt mind it, but it couldnt better 'Wild Swans' for me.
