For the first dot point about the role of a chemist:

Outline the role of a chemist employed in a named industry or enterprise, identifying the branch of chemistry undertaken by the chemist and explaining a chemical principle that the chemist uses

Do we need to know about a specific person or can we talk about a branch of chemistry eg. analytical chemistry...without talking about an actual named person?

Nope, we don't need to know the name of the guy. We need to know their job, where they work, their branch of chemistry, and the chemical principles or concepts used.
