Hey Bored,

I just got my first assessments all in and I'm feeling a bit worried about the HSC to come. Can someone please give me an estimate, it would be greatly appreciated.

economics 6/35
chemistry 2/40
maths ext 1 16/45
maths ext 2 5/16
english 30/120

school rank: 25 ish

My english rank was 10/120 for year 11 but first assessment pushed me down. I think I can average tenth again over the whole year.

What does extremely good mean?

Okay just on speculation of what I am looking at more likely is:

Economics 5/35
Chemistry 5/40
Maths extension 1 6/45
Maths extension 2 5/16
Advanced English 15/120

I just think that one assessment puts a a bit of a spin on the truth and distorts things meaning consistency of year 11 is in some ways a better judge.

With those ranks 99.

You can't really say that because at most high ranked schools you have students come out of nowhere and do well in Year 12 after being in stasis for 5 years.

Okay that is probably true. I just think that through year 11 I had times when I ranked 1st and times when I ranked 10th. So from that logic I came to the conclusion that some of my first assessments were an inflation of my ability and others a deflation. Mainly chemistry too high and english too low.

Just keep working hard and try your best. Eventually you will get the marks!
