I don't know if this has been done yet, in here or in the movie forum but...
I've been getting into soundtracks lately and some of them are quite fantastic. I really like the ones for :
The Pianist
The Virgin Suicides
Lost in Translation (edit: Death in Vegas- Girls, been playing it for ages)
Amelie (I thought the soundtrack was better than the movie)

I've never paid much attention to music when watching movies until now. It would be nice to find some more.

Ooo, I've got the Velvet Goldmine one. It's a good one but I haven't heard it for ages.

- The Virgin Suicides is my all time fave soundtrack. I love Air, after hearing the soundtrack I went out and bought more of their stuff.

- Good Will Hunting has a good soundtrack, lots of Elliot Smith.

- Romeo + Juliet (Luhrmann version), great Radiohead song Talk Show Host, I also love Exit Music (For a Film) although it's on Ok Computer, it was the perfect end to the film.

- The Godfather the score is awesome.

- Cinema Paradiso, the music is amazing and just goes perfectly with film. It also brings back lots of memories. If anyones seen The Holiday it's the music playing in Jack Blacks car when he first meets Kate Winslet.

The only thing I have resembling a film soundtrack is Chris Cornell's You Know My Name (which wasn't included on the Casino Royale soundtrack, despite being the official song, but it will be on Cornell's next studio album).

all david lynch scores/soundtracks, except for the second half of lost highway (marilyn manson? rammstein? wtf, dave?!). badalementi is god.

and even though i didn't like the film, the plaintive guitar strumming/ambience in babel made a huge impression on me.

I still adore all things made by the film composer John Powell.

I can recognise him a mile away too.
