my absolute favourite is - don't laugh - pretty woman, closely followed by:

the breakfast club
pretty in pink
an indecent proposal
autumn in new york
the mothman prophecies
my best friend's wedding
american beauty
walt disney's sleeping beauty
and cherry falls, which is a brilliant d-grade teen horror flick i saw on movie 1 last week :)

I noticed no-one has Apocalypse Now listed. If you have a brain, see it, you will appreciate it! :)

Definatley one of the greatest movies ever made.
You got some good taste mate :)
Don't know about LOTR: FOTR being the best though, ah well each to their own.

Its actually is the complete opposite. They really show the horror the US brought to the country. During the war scenes it makes your heart race and your blood boil.

You watch it going 'man I can't believe they could do that'
I can bilieve those Yanks can do anything....... DEATH 2 THE YANKS!!!!!!!!!!

the best movies i think should be in the list are Bicentennial man, all episodes of Star Wars, The Matrix, Remeo and Juilet by Bas Luhrmann, Godfather one and two.

Bicentennial is a great film of this century and many ppl have failed to see the themes behind the movie! :D

meh... Save the Last Dance was alright-ish.

Better than all those other godawful teen flicks She's all That and Can't Hardly Wait... *shudder*

A bit predictable... no real depth.... wow! it deals with racism (gee that hasn't been done to DEATH)

actually come to think of it, it wasn't really alrightish, it was only passable...
