whoops, edit:
link aobut progression rules http://www.uws.edu.au/students/stuadmin/prog/rules
Rule 1 - Passing less than 50% of the credit points attempted in the calendar year.
A student who passes less than 50% of the credit points attempted will be placed on Conditional Enrolment for a period of 12 months and must enrol for a reduced academic load during that time.

Rule 2 - Passing less than 50% of the credit points attempted whilst on conditional enrolment.
A student who, while on conditional enrolment again passes less than 50% of the credit points attempted, will be excluded from the University for a period of twelve months.

Rule 3 - Failure of the same unit, or equivalent unit on three separate occasions.
A student who fails the same unit, or its' equivalent three times will be excluded from the University for a period of twelve months.

Rule 4 - Failure to complete an Undergraduate course in maximum time
Students will be excluded for a period of two years.

also see this http://www.uws.edu.au/students/stuadmin/prog/faq
for info.

usually the notices sent in te mail next month will tell those who have failed their courses the courses of actions to take i.e. consulatation with your coordinater, counselling, study programs like LSU to help writing etc.

hope this helps you guys

yikes, edit 2:
umm, the reduced load really means doing it PT or 1 or 2 units a semester, not 3 as 3 is deemed as FT enrolemnts...a friend of min is on conditional enrolemnt actually, and he is getting along better thanat FT, last semster i did 3 instead of 4 and the load was much more easier to handle too so yeah.

i dont know..i had some teacher that gave me full marks for almost every tutorial, even though i had no idea what i was saying in the answers.

and also quite a few students in my class spoke to the tutor about the unit not being taught very well, and she said something about it changing next year.
