Hey,

a girl today jumped off UTS tower building, falling off hundreds of metres to ground zero.

should hear some news tomorrow.

well my knowledge is as follows:

girl is not a uts student visits boyfriend (uts student). ---> some dispute about break up with girl. girl really pissed off, jumps from lvl 26 throught some window or something and lands on lvl 5 tower verandah (great hall) near building 6.

police cordoned off the area. police everywhere.

I mean come on, that even SOUNDS like a freaking joke about the height of the UTS building.

happened in the evening, and police probably suppressing information.

There's nothing about this in the online editions of the Sydney papers, theone123, and I doubt that the police would suppress news of such an incident in its entirety (edit: Or maybe they would - see below).

If anyone has something of value to add (such as a confirmation by means of a reputable link), please post away.

he actually might not be lying

i was meant to go to a band comp at manning bar, but i left early around 7pm yesterday

walking towards central there were 5 or more police cars parked outside the tower building around 7:15pm or so

they're not supposed to report on suicides unless it's a high profile person, which is probably why it's not all over the news/net

Well thats tragic...... but how did he jump? I havent ever been to UTS, but usually tall buildings dont exactly have windows that open on them! :confused:

I dont think you splat like that... its just your internal organs that get stuffed up becuase of the sudden stop of your body but they keep going, externally its not that evident.... or so television tells me.
